Alyssa Thomas is starting game three of the Connecticut Sun’s WNBA semifinals series against the Las Vegas Aces just two days after dislocating her right shoulder. Thomas has also been playing the entire 2020 season with two torn labrums. The series is tied 1-1 heading into Thursday’s match-up.

Thomas has been an instrumental part of the Sun’s success this season, averaging 15.5 points on 50% shooting, 2.0 steals, 4.8 assists and 9.0 rebounds per game. It is unclear how many minutes she will be able to play on Thursday night, with Sun coach Curt Miller saying earlier in the evening that it was about “pain management” and deeming her a game-time decision.
